Many thanks to everyone who entered their photographs in the competition which closed on 30th November. It attracted a lot of interest, with Richmond captured in many guises. We have had a great response!
Choosing winners from the volume and variety of entries has been a major challenge and we are very grateful to the judge, photographer Garry Brannigan

If you submitted photos but they are not shown here, they have been judged as not qualifying for the competition. This could be on the grounds of resolution being too low, subject matter or any other reason the organisers thought appropriate.

Background
To celebrate Richmond's Best Town of the Year award 2009 and the 'Richmonds of the World' exhibition at the Station, we invited people to submit their digital photos of Richmond.
For two weeks from October 10th, visitors to the Station in Richmond had the first local opportunity to view a developing photographic exhibition which gives a glimpse of fellow Richmonds in far-flung places. 'Richmonds of the World' is a display conceived and developed by staff of the Museums Service of the London Borough of Richmond-on-Thames. Inviting contributions from Richmonds around the globe, photographs from four continents were assembled and the final selection displayed in the Riverside Gallery in Richmond-on-Thames over the summer.
Richmond On-line invited people to submit their own digital images of the town in a competition which closed on 30th November. The overall winners received a prize and their own winning images printed and framed and added to the exhibition.
