Antiques Valuation Event
Venue: The Station
Time: 10.00am - 3.00pm
Top antiques expert David Elstob will be hosting a free valuation day at The Station for all your antiques, fine art and collectables.

David is one of only a small number of auctioneers in the country to be recognised as a RICS Chartered Arts and Antiques Surveyor; a rare distinction that puts him firmly into the industry’s elite. Having held senior positions at premier auction houses in the region, now runs his own business with his wife Beth, a leading jewellery consultant and valuer.

Elstob & Elstob is based at Bedale Hall in Bedale and aims to provide a focal point for buying and selling high-quality antiques, fine art and objects of distinction. The couple are joined by a team of specialists who have previously worked at high-end institutions including Sotheby’s, Christie’s, Bonhams and Doyle in New York.

This free valuation day provides an ideal opportunity for people to find out more about a whole range of contemporary or antique objects, including silver, ceramics, glass, pictures, sculpture or other collectables.

While there is no obligation at all attached to the valuations, anyone wishing to sell an item will be given the option to have it included in the next auction at the Bedale saleroom.

For more information about Elstob & Elstob’s valuation services, sales or the event at The Station, please call 01677 333003.

The Body Snatcher
Venue: The Georgian Theatre Royal
Time: 7.30pm
The Body Snatcher is an unnerving experience inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s hair-raising horror!

Something is rotten in the town of Inglenook.

Sour milk, unread post, dogs howling day and night, the locals are vanishing...seemingly into thin air.

As fear haunts the remaining few, a young scientist is disturbed by a noise underground.

It’s the sound of terror, and it’s getting louder.

Live action, music and storytelling combine in a tale of mystery, morality, and science unhinged.
No body is safe...

“What this company can achieve in a theatre space is astonishing!” Manchester Evening News

Tickets cost from £11 to £16 and are available from the Box Office on 01748 825252 or via the online booking service.

Fish, Bees and Doves
Venue: The Station
An exhibition by Michelle Tripp BA MA Fine Art

The Lady Chapel at Osmotherley is a favourite place for artist Michelle Tripp to draw and paint. Medieval illuminations of beehives, dovecotes and the symbolic meaning of bees, fish and birds have woven themselves into the abstracted art of this exhibition.

Digital technology and medieval illuminations have both informed the work.
